| Army jawan nabbed for spying | | | NEW DELHI | June 30 An Army man posted in Jammu and Kashmir has been arrested here on charges of spying for Pakistan's ISI, with police claiming to have recovered "sensitive" defence-related documents from him. Mohammad Naeem, a Lance Naik with the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry, was in the capital to "hand over" the documents to an ISI agent when he was nabbed by Special Cell officials on the basis of a tip off, police said. The documents recovered from Naeem, a resident of Poonch and posted in the regiment's recruitment centre near Srinagar, contained information about troop movement, weaponry, training procedure and Army units, Deputy Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar said. A handwritten note in Urdu containing the rank structure of J&K Light Infantry and movement orders for the troops was also recovered from Naeem, who was nabbed in North Delhi on Thursday night. During interrogation, Naeem told police that he was lured into the spy ring by one Ali Jatoon, an ISI agent, last year promising handsome money. He was to get Rs 50,000 for the documents that he had brought, police said.
