Pahalwan Jagroop from Amritsar lifted 9th Karua Kesari 2007 .The Vishal Dangal was conducted by Dhansal Dangal committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association
Jagroop of Amritsar thrashed Pahalwan QasimDin of J&K Police in 27 minutes tough bout and lifted the best Malli. He was also awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 3100 in addition to a Silver Gurj and Patta shawl. Loser Pahalwan was given cash prize of Rs. 2000
About 38 bouts were played in the annual Vishal Dangal. The 2nd main bout of the said contest was won by Benia of Basntgarh defeating Sanjeev of Delhi. He was awarded the cash prize of Rs. 1500 by Shiv Kumar Sharma. The third main bout was won by Mohd. Ilyas of Maller kotla by defeating Anuj Kumar of Merrurt.
Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on this occasion and distributed the prizes among the outstanding wrestlers of the one day long completions while RK Bhardwaj SHO Reasi was the guest of honor on this occasion.
Shiv Kumar Sharma in his speech complimented the Dangal Committee for organizing this event and advised them to make such type of Dangal a regular feature in the feature he added that there events provide a platform for the young wrestlers to show their talent besides a source of entertainment for the people of the rural area.
