| Bukhari conducts extensive tour of far flung areas. | | | SURANKOTE June 30: Peer Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, MLA Surankote conducted an extensive tour of the remotest and the most backward areas of his constituency. Bukhari is reportedly the first MLA to visit these areas, which had been traditionally the Congress vote bank. During the visit the MLA Interacted with the inhabitants, listened to their grievances and took on the spot decisions which were appreciated by the inhabitants of this remotest area. During his tour to the area, he sanctioned construction of Narian Hari Buda road, up gradation of high school, middle school, four primary schools and seven CGS centers. The people of the area, who were the worst sufferers of militancy, said that they have suffered especially because the Congress MLA representing the area has neither paid a penny for the development of the area nor ever visited it. The people of the area welcomed Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari and appreciated the policy of National Conference and its leadership and rejected with one voice the communal politics of Congress. The people of the area pined hope with the leadership of National Conference for the over all development of the area which was all along neglected by the Congress. The so-called slogan of double shift of the coalition government is no where visible on the ground, said Bukhari while addressing the people of the area at a function where large number of prominent persons led by Haji Mohammed Sharief and Bagh Hussain, who were earlier supporters of Congress, joined National Conference. Bukhari welcomed them into the party fold and hoped that their joining into the party will further strengthen the party and its leadership.
