KATHUA, June 17: Yoga being practiced in India over 5000 years as an oldest system for physical, mental, spiritual development. It is matter of great pride for India that United Nations has accepted to observe 21st June as International Day of Yoga. So on 21st June, every year, people all over the world shall observe this day as Yoga Day by practice it globally. Govt. of India is observing 21st June as International Day of Yoga, on theme "Yoga for Harmony & Peace" with great zeal and gaiety across the country. A district level function is going to be organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra to observe 21st June 2015, as International Day of Yoga at Sports Stadium, Kathua in collaboration with District Administration, NCC, NSS, Scout & Guide, B.Ed Colleges, Govt. & Private Schools, Patanjali Yog Peeth, Art of Living, Brahma Kumaries, Arya Samaj, Social Organizations, NGOs, Sports Organizations, Youth Clubs & Mahila Mandals etc. All participants are requested to please report at stadium at 06.30 A.M. in comfortable clothes along with a mat or bed sheet for yoga exercises on 21st June at Sports Stadium. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua has appealed all citizen of Kathua including Children, Young, Old, Male, Female, to come forward and participate in International Yoga Day on 21st June 2015 at Sports Stadium and practice Yoga in daily routine for healthy life, harmony & peace. Deputy Commissioner, Kathua also appealed to all members of religious, social organizations, NGOs, Youth Clubs, Mahila Mandals to mobilize maximum numbers of public to participate in International Yoga Day and contribute resources to make it grand success and result oriented. |
