| Jugal distributes sewing machines among poor | | | Jammu: Bharatiya Janta Party MLA from Nagrota assembly constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma distributed sewing machines and cheques among the poor and deserving people of his constituency in a function organized at Nagrota. Jugal Kishore Sharma distributed 46 cheques of rupees 1200 each under old age category, 48 cheques of rupees 1200 each under Widows pension category, 4 cheques of rupees 10,000 each under National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS), 168 cheques of rupees 1800 each under Physically Handicapped (PHC) category and sewing machines numbering 5 alongwith cheques of rupees 3500 each for purchasing items for sewing purposes in presence of Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Smt. Champa Sharma and a number of prominent local residents. Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing the beneficiaries on this occasion asked the Jammu & Kashmir Bank authorities to provide facility of Ujala Scheme at all the branches in Nagrota assembly constituency so that those who are sanctioned pensions under various schemes of Social welfare schemes do not suffer. He said a large number of people are facing problems as some branches of J&K Bank are not opening their accounts and asking them to go to some other branch. He also asked the beneficiaries to make right use of the monetary help and start their own independent work and earn livelihood with the help of sewing machines which has been distributed among them. Sarpanch Nagrota Rameshwar Dutt, Kah- Pota Sarpanch Mohan Lal Mengi, Tarah Sarpanch Siraj Din, BJP General Sectertary of Mathwar Subhash Sharma, and party activists including Rehmat Ali, Rajesh Chand Antan, Darshan Lal, Girdhari Lal Jandrahia, Subhash Bateyari, Girdhari Lal, Pawan Raina and Bittu Sunbria were prominent among those who thanked the BJP MLA for organizing the function for the benefit of poor and needy people of the constituency.
