The teacher couple, who were reported to have accepted payments against their published works in their names and not in the names of the publisher today refuted the allegations saying that because of some prevailing inter-departmental rivalry, a section of colleagues have leveled ‘baseless’ charges against them. On condition of anonymity, the teacher couple from Jammu University said that some fellow teachers in the department of the female teacher (among the two), do not want this teacher to get promotion which is due to her in some time. In a written statement to Early Times, the teacher couple said that they refute the allegations against them on the ground that that all the charges are fabricated, unfounded and baseless. The couple also stated that they were contemplating at filing defamation suits against all those responsible for disseminating to press the scandalous matter against them.
