Ousted excise employees stir continues

Jammu July 2
Ousted Excise Employees (C-IV) continued their protest on the 154th day in support of their demand of their absorption against their posts. The protestors staged a demonstration outside the office of the Excise and Taxation at Panama Chowk while a similar protest was staged at Old Secretariat Srinagar.
Addressing the protestors in Jammu at Panama Chowk Adil Rashid Khan the president of the association reminded the state government about the assurances from chief minister and finance minister given in the assembly on 8/02/07 for regularizing the ousted Class IV employees. He also mentioned that because of the lack of employment has even put them in fix to pay the school fees of their wards.
Besides Adil Rashid Khan other speakers demanded early regularization of ousted Class IV employees and appealed the chief minister to adopt a rational policy to absorb all those who had rendered over eight years of regular services as permanent employees in the said department.
