| Pilgrim killed, 7 injured | | |
SRINAGAR: A pilgrim was killed and seven others were injured in early hours on Tuesday due to shooting stones near the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas.
The injured will be taken to Srinagar later, officials said here.
The pilgrimage was suspended for several hours due to inclement weather yesterday but resumed after conditions improved. About 4,500 pilgrims have left the base camps of Nunwan and Baltal yesterday for the 3,880 metre high cave shrine.
