APMCC to perform havana at Kokemag, Kulgam
The Shadow’ to provide free transport facility for Sagam

Jammu, July 3: The apex body of Kashmiri Pandits, All Parties Migrant Co-ordination Committee (APMCC) in its endeavor to reconstruct the damaged and encroached temples! shrines of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley is going to perform two more Havans at Sagam (Kokarnag) and Kulgam in coordination with the respective temple committees of the area on July 21 (Kulgam) and July 28 (Sagam, Kokarnag)
The Chairman of the APMCC Vinod Pandit held consultations with the Prabhandak Sudhar Samiti Working Group Sagam and Kulwagisharee Prabhandhak Committee, Kulgam where it was decided that APMCC will extend its full cooperation to the respective committees in organizing first ever Havan in these areas after a gap of 18 years.
The APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit who recently performed successful havana at Khanabaran (Tripur Sundari) Devsar, where hundreds of Pandits and thousands of Kashmiri Muslims participated has said that the twin Havans will be performed with the help of the local army units headed by Brig KS Rana besides the material support of the members of the Hindu and Muslim communities. The first Havan will be performed at Kulgam at famous Kulwagisharee temple where Havan will start on July 21 at 6 pm and the Puran Ahuti will be performed on July 22 at 12.30 pm.
While the Prabhandhak Committee President Maheshwar Nath Zutshi and Sh Arjan Nath Bhat, Secretary, would mobilize the participants and other requirements, APMCC will look after entire arrangements for the Havan.
The second Havan will be performed at Sagam, Kokarnag, for which the devotees will leave Jammu on July 27, perform Havan on July 28, 5 pm, PuranAhuti, July 29,12.30 pm and return to Jammu on July 30.
The transport to and from Sagam will be provided free of cost by the Jammu based daily newspaper, ‘The Shadow’ for the devotees.
The APMCC and ‘The Shadow’ management held talks in this regard where APMCC requested the newspaper chairman Roop Lal Sharma to provide free transport for the pilgrims which was agreed by Sharma.
The APMCC will be organizing many such havens and reconstruction of damaged shrines, temples of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley to preserve the unique culture of the Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley till their return becomes possible on their own terms and conditions.
