Jammu, July 9: Taking cognizance to the complaint from girl alleging therein that she was raped by an army jawan, a local court today directed SHO Domana to register FIR against the accused after investigating the matter.
Lawyer Surinder Gupta counselor for victim (name withheld), sharing information briefly said that one Ashwani Kumar son of Pnatha Ram of Model Town Gangyal committed rape on 28 years old girl hailing from Patoli Brahmana. The girl lodged the complaint with the Domana Police but after observing alleged slow pace in regard to her complaint, the victim knocked the door of court of law to seek justice.
Quoting complainant, her counselor said she was proposed to solemnize marriage with the army jawan following which she became familiar with him. "One day he came to her home and sensing her alone, he committed rape on her, he said.
Based on the complaint, court has directed SHO Domana to hold investigation under section 156 (3) CrPC and register an FIR in this connection. |
