| SVO to hold Departmental Vigilance Officer’s Conference | | |
SRINAGAR:
The 6th biannual Conference of Departmental Vigilance Officer’s is being organized by the State Vigilance Organisation at SKICC Srinagar on 07.07.2007. More than 250 DVOs of various Govt. departments and PSUs of Kashmir division and the move offices presently located at Srinagar are participating. The inaugural session of the conference will start at 10 a.m in the auditorium of SKICC.
Five outstanding DVOs will be honoured in recognition of their contribution in strengthening internal vigilance and infusing accountability and transparency in their respective departments.
The conference will have two business sessions spread over five hours. In the first business session there will be presentation on “Performance of DVOs” and “Importance of Internal Vigilance in Govt. departments and PSUs” followed by discussion. The second business session will comprise of lectures by experts. Admiral (Retd) R.H Tahiliani, Chairman Transparency International India, will deliver a lecture on “Transparency and Accountability in Public Life” and Shri Radhavinod Raju, IPS, Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation, will address participants on “Internal Vigilance in Govt. departments and PSUs”.
A compilation on Anti Corruption Laws in J&K will be released on the occasion.
