| ACTF submits memorandum of demands | | | Jammu July 5 A deputation of Associated Chamber of Traders Federation (ACTF) Jammu today called upon Chief Commissioner Income Tax, North West, Manju Lakhanpal and discussed various problems of the trading community. The deputationists also submitted a memorandum of demands to the Chief Commissioner to seek the redressal of the problems. Deputation led by Yash Pal Gupta president ACTF comprising Attar Singh, Neeraj Anand Secretary General ACTF, Chander Gulati, Yuvraj Sharma, Kewal Krishan Gupta and others took up various matters like enhancement of cash entry limit upto 50,000 and hoped this would boost the trading sector. Other demands highlighted in this marathon but cordial meeting included provision of compulsory audit be imposed on the yearly turn over of Rs1.00 crore and above instead of Rs 40.00 lakh, simplifying the Tax Return forms and introducing details in a phased manner from year to year. Chief Commissioner Manju Lakanpal assured president of ACTF and other deputationists for her cooperation and from her department. Referring to problems and issues taken up during the meeting, the Chief Commissioner Income Tax North West Region also assured that the problems will be taken up with the senior officials of the department for the redressal with immediate effect.
