| Accused involved in land grabbing case granted bail | | | JAMMU, JULY 05- Special Judge, Anticorruption, Jammu, Mr. Kartar Singh granted bail to one Lal Din s/o Ibrahim r/o Taral Brahamana, allegedly involved in land grabbing case. According to the Crime Branch, the petitioner entered into criminal conspiracy with some revenue employees and, in furtherance of the said conspiracy, the other accused made a false anti-dated entry in Kharif 1971 showing the petitioner Lal Din in possession of the whole land, though the land actually belong to the complainant. The accused petitioner is in custody since June 25 last and the only allegation against him is that the other accused effected false anti-dated entry in his name and no other act has been done by him. Special Judge Anticorruption, Kartar Singh, after hearing both the sides, observed that nothing is recovered from him and investigation primarily revolves round the documents which are not in possession of the petitioner. He is in custody for the last nine days and no useful purpose will be served by keeping him in detention for an indefinite period. Accordingly, the petitioner is admitted to bail on his furnishing surety bond and bail bond in the amount of Rs 10,000 each with the direction that he shall appear before the IO along with the copy of this order and shall attend the investigation, the Special Judge ordered
