| Praja Parishad remembers Mukerji | | |
Jammu July 5 On the occasion of 107th birth anniversary of late Shayma Parsad Mukerji, the founder of the BJP, Praja Parisahd organized a grand function at Brahman Prtinidhi Sabha here today. Paying tributes to the veteran leader, Rishi Kumar Koushal, recalled his long association with Dr Mukerji and also narrated the story behind his demise and the circumstances which led to the Mukerji’s death in the Srinagar jail. On this occasion, Chander Mohan Sharma, President, Praja Parishad, while paying tributes to late Mukerji criticized the anti-national policies of National Conference and PDP and raising the slogans of autonomy and self rule. He asserted that ‘as long as the followers of Mukerji are alive, the conspirators would not succeed in their plans’. Uddhay Chand ,President, Duggardesh Party and Deen Mohammed Cheeta, President, Aman Nawaz Conference also paid rich tributes to the late Mukerji and maintained that the time has come to fight for the cause of people of Jammu. The function was presided over by Vijay Sharma, social activist, who joined Praja Parisahd. Others who spoke on the occasion, included Pankaj Sahney, Vinod Sahney, Raj Kumar Gupta, Raj Kumar Chouhan, Sat Pal Sharma and Sunil Raka. Prasad and lunch was also offered to the people present there on the conclusion of the function.
