| Accused involved in gun-license case bailed out | | | JAMMU, JULY 06- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Mr. Kartar Singh made absolute bail in favour of Mohammed Amin Malik resident of Banihal, facing charges in gun-license case. As per the report of Crime Branch the allegations against the petitioner is that in the year 2003 petitioner while his posting as Judicial Clerk in the office of Additional District Magistrate Ramban was dealing with the matters pertaining to issuance of gun-license. He, with mala- fide intention made certain illegal insertions in the letter dated May 27, 2003 which had been signed by Additional District Magistrate. Special Judge Anticorruption while granting absolute bail to the petitioner observed that from the police report as well as objections filed by the CPO, the case is still under investigation and interrogation of the petitioner is required. Nothing is to be recovered from him. The investigating officer can smoothly conduct the investigation if the petitioner is directed to attend the investigation and no useful purpose will be served by sending him to custody because his custodial interrogation is not required. The interim bail is made absolute with the direction to the petitioner that he shall appear before the IO as and when required.
