| 38 Haj pilgrims selected | | |

Draw of lots (Qurrah) was held for selecting eligible Haj Pilgrims-2007 today in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
Large number of intending pilgrims along with some ulamas witnessed the proceeding. The proceeding was attended by Custodian Jammu Mr A.M Wani, Altaf Hussain representing Auqaf Islamia, Jammu, Assistant Settlement officer, Jammu Mr. Mohd. Saleem under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Mr I.A Zargar.
After conducting the exercise in a transparent manner and under the guidance of Haj Committee of India, 7 pilgrims alongwith their mahram/escort totaling 17 were selected in the category of 75 years of age and above. 38 pilgrims were selected through draw of lots and 34 pilgrims were kept in waiting list.
