Srinagar, July 6: Chief Justice, Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Aftab Aalam administered oath to Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir at an impressive function as Judge of Jammu and Kashmir High Court here today.
Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir was appointed as High Court Judge by President of India Dr. A.P.J Abul Kalam on June 28, 2007. The strength of Judges of the J&K High Court, as such, now has risen to nine.
Present on the occasion were Judges of the High Court, Advocate General, Commissioner Secretary Law Department besides Judicial officers of the district Jammu, Bar Members, Advocates and staff.
Mr. Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir born on April 25, 1955 joined Judicial Service as District and Sessions Judge in May 1993 after passing the Higher Judicial Examination. He remained posted as district and Sessions Judge Anantnag, District Judge Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Srinagar, District and Session Judge, Budgam, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar and Principal District and Session Judge Srinagar.
