| JU gets ready for PM visit. | | | Jammu | July 7 Jammu University’s Zorawar Singh Auditorium complex is ready to host convocation on July 10. This time convocation is a matter of great pride for Jammu University and literally class of Jammu that Prime Minister of India has accepted the offer from the Jammu University. Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) SK Sinha, who is also the Chancellor of the University, will present the Doctorate degree of letters to Prime Minister of India. While the Chief Minister of the State and Pro-Chancellor Ghulam Nabi Azad will be the guest of honor on the occasion. According to University spokesperson in this special convocation, a citation of Prime Minister will be read out by the Vice Chancellor of the Jammu University, Prof Amitabh Mattoo. The excitement to get a glance of world famous economist and Prime Minister of India is not only among Jammu University officials but also among the scholars as this is the maiden visit of the Prime Minister to the Jammu University which has already been scaling new heights in contexts of global benchmarks and standards of excellence. In view of the security arrangements, the movement will be prohibited in the campus from tomorrow. But the persons involved in the preparation would be provided for the pass entry.
