Rajouri, July 7
Denying possessing assets disproportionate to his known source of income as claimed by the Vigilance Organization, Warden Gujjar and Bakerwal hostel Rajouri on Saturday submitted an application to the District Development Commissioner Rajouri enclosing all the details of his moveable and immoveable properties seeking a separate investigation of the allegations leveled by State Vigilance Organization against him.
He also distributed the papers of his properties to the media persons. On June 16, the sleuths of SVO had raided the official and personal residences of Warden Gujjar Bakerwal hostel Rajouri saying that said warden owned properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
“This was a clear conspiracy hatched by some local Congress leaders to tarnish my image and get their choice person appointed as warden in the hostel”, he said adding that he has submitted all the papers of the properties shown in his name to the vigilance authorities and I have also requested Deputy Commissioner concerned to investigate the matter separately. If any of these properties figure in my name I am ready to be hanged publicly” claimed accused warden Manzoor Gulshan.
Giving details of his all the properties to the media persons, Manzoor Hussain categorically denied his any link with most of the properties shown in his name by the vigilance authorities .’ Firstly, I would like to make it clear that the money which was seized by the vigilance team from my residence was not personal but was the management property drawn from state treasury a day before the vigilance raid to make the payments in the market for the material purchased for the hostel requirements. Secondly, the vigilance has shown a house and twenty Kanal land in my name at my native village Plangerh , this land was in fact purchased by my father Ghulam Hussain in the year 1963 and the same was registered in the court of Sub Registrar Rajouri on June 22 1963 for which all the court documents are with me”, said Gulsahan He said in the year 1963, he was only 8 years old and his schooling was not started even that period. Moreover, the house shown constructed on that land was constructed by joint family in the year 1985 when he was not warden but a simply school teacher. Not only this, ten shops at the land of 1.5 Kanals in Malik market Rajouri have been shown in my name This is also a base less story, in fact, there are only four shops in the area of only four marlas that too owned by my younger brother Maqbool Hussain who has well known sources of income”, added Gulsahn.
He also informed that the one Maruti Car which has been shown his property was purchased by him some ten years ago which was financed by State Bank of India Poonch when he was posted there.“ Some of the installments of the said Bank are still pending in my name. And there is no bank balance in my name in any bank of the state.. I have also obtained loans from JK Bank Rajouri and SBI Rajouri for a house I purchased recently” he said.
