| Movement near banks of Chenab restricted | | | JAMMU, JULY 7
The public of District Kishtwar in general and of Dul, Benzwar, Cherhar, Bhandarkoot, Hasti, Kandani, Thathri and Premnagar in particular have been informed that for statutory periodical silt flushing from reservoir of Dul Hasti Power Station, the gates of dam shall be opened on 7.7.07 from 8 am to 6 pm with the result there will be increase in flow of water and level of river Chenab may increase 2 to 3 meters.
The District Development Commissioner Doda has advised people not to move near banks of river Chenab during the period. Anybody violating this request shall be doing so at his risk and responsibility and the management of Dul Hasti Power Station shall not be responsible for consequences, he added.
