| Parents demand FIR against ASCOMS | | | Jammu | July 7
Today the parents of deceased Tushar Sharma held a protest demonstration in front of the office of SSP, Jammu and demanded that FIR be registered against ASCOM doctors and the administration, which is responsible for the death of Tushar.
The demonstration led by Som Nath Dabgotra, State President, Janta Party demanded that a criminal case be initiated against the doctors and administration of ASCOMS. Parents of deceased held Dr. M.M. Mengi responsible for the death of their son.
According to the report, Tushar Sharma son of Rajesh Sharma got injured in a road accident and died later in ASCOMS hospital.
Rajesh Sharma while talking to Early Times alleged that when they called on SSP Mukesh Singh requesting him to lodge an FIR, he refused to do so saying that it was not possible t this time and they will have to wait till the postmortem report comes.
According to the reports the parents of the deceased boy were asked to pay Rs.50,000 in advance before performing the operation and even after depositing the money the concerned doctor failed to reach in time leaving everything at the mercy of his juniors . The reports said that unaware of the proper treatment, the junior doctors failed to respond to the situation and the delay in giving right treatment led to the death of the boy.
