| HC issues warrants against SWB chairman | | | JAMMU, JULY
Justice YP Nargotra of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu wing today in a contempt petition filed by Vijay Jasrotia issued bailable warrants to tune of Rs 1000 against Chairman State Social Welfare Board.
This warrant has been issued in contempt petition filed by the petitioner in which the petitioner alleged that the respondent has not complied with the judgment of the High Court passed on October 1, 2003 and deliberately disobeyed the direction of the High Court and as such committed contempt of the Court.
Justice YP Nargotra after hearing Advocate Subash Mansotra appearing for the petitioner and AAG Mr. BS Salathia observed that statement of facts has not been filed and nor respondent is present in person though he was directed by the order dated April 27, 2007 to appear in person before the Court along with the compliance report.
Court ordered appearance of Chairman State Social Welfare Board be procured through bailable warrants to the tune of Rs 1000. The warrants shall be forwarded for execution to SSP Jammu, Court ordered.
