| LET area commander killed in encounter | | | Jammu | July 7
Lashker-e-Toiba area commander was killed by security forces in an encounter at Baflayaz area in Poonch. According to reports, today 16 and 25 RR booked specific information that some militants were hidden in the jungle area of Bafliyaz. A search operation was launched in the area and during search the militants fled from the spot and hid in a house of one Riasat Khan. The team cordoned the house and started firing in which the area commander of LeT outfit namely Abu Haider Zarar killed on spot and other two militants manage to escape from the spot. The team also recovered one AK rifle and some other ammunition from the spot. Sources said the militants who manage to escape from the spot one of them got injuries and the search operation is on in the area as last report came.
