| One arrested with 6 bovines | | |

Banihal police today arrested one person and seized six bovines from his possession when he was on way to Srinagar. According to reports today police received specific information on smuggling of bovines. After receiving the information a police team from Banihal police station led by SHO laid a naka in the area and during checking police stopped a load carrier (JK02W/7379) on way to Srinagar and recovered six bovines from the vehicle and arrested one person namely Ahmed Ali son of Mohd Shafi resident of Ramban. The police took him to police station for further interrogation where the accused told police that he was smuggling the bovines from Ramban to Srinagar. Police has also registered a case in this regard and investigating the matter.
