| Aziz concludes weeklong tour of Bani | | Announces Rs.34 cr for improvement in power supply in Kathua | |
KATHUA, JULY 08 Minister of State for Finance, Revenue, Planning, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mr Prem Sagar Aziz who was on a weeklong tour of the Bani addressed several meetings in far-flung and hilly areas. Speaking to the people, he disclosed that Rs.34 crore has been earmarked for improvement of power supply in Kathua and a grid station is being constructed at Duggan to meet the power requirement of the adjoining areas. He further congratulated the people that the degree college has been recommended for Bani and 3 higher secondary schools at Machedi, Fathepur and Siti and 3 high schools at Tapper, Patetar (Lohi) have also been sanctioned. The Minister further disclosed that a mega cement factory is being established at Siara-Kardoh by Shree Cement Company which shall provide employment to 6000 persons of the area and usher in new era of economic development in the area. Mr Aziz further retreating the coalition government’s resolve to explore the tourism potential of the virgin spots. Mr Aziz said that scores of new tourist spots including Sarthal, Bani Basohli are being developed. He said Lakhanpur-Basohli, Bani-Sarthal Tourism Development Authority has been constituted to undertake development works in the region.
