| 415 solar home lights distributed in Gandoh | | |

As per the Chief Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad’s commitment to provide solar home lights to unelectrified far-flung areas, Principal Secretary Science & Technology and Information Technology Department visited tehsil Gondoh, district Doda and distributed of solar home lights.
415 solar home lights have procured by J&K Energy development Agency (JAKEDA) for the inhabitants of the unelectrified villages of Hadal and Mannu Kota of the tehsil were distributed on the occasion. The beneficiaries of the solar home lights have to provide a beneficiaries share of Rs 780 and the solar home lights are to be maintained for a period of five years through JAKEDA. The solar home lights have been purchased by JAKEDA at a unit cost of Rs 14901 through DGS&D and the total cost of project is estimated to be Rs 61.84 lakh.
The Principal Secretary was accompanied by Chief Executive Officer, J&K Energy Development Agency and other officers of the district administration and JAKEDA.
