| Army smashes five militant hideouts | | |
JAMMU, JULY 8
Army troops busted five militant hideouts and recovered ammunition and explosives, including 11 grenades, in Jammu and Kashmir since last night, official sources said today.
The troops smashed a hideout in Bani forest belt of Doda district today and recovered 30 AK rounds, 8 rounds of 9 mm pistol, two AK magazines and one hand grenade, they said.
Another hideout was busted in Surankote in Poonch district and five mortar bombs, one RPG (rocket-propelled grenade) round, three RPG boosters and four under-barrel grenade launcher (UBGL) grenades recovered today.
Troops recovered four grenades from a hideout in Sarsot area of Reasi district today, the sources said.
The security forces unearthed a hideout in Tanta forest belt of Doda district and recovered two Chinese grenades, one AK magazine and one wireless antenna last night, they said.
One more hideout was busted by troops in Virbadashwer area of Rajouri district and a cache of arms and explosives recovered last night, they said.
