Saru: A star in making
Debut Album “Kudi Punjaban” launched

In a simple function, Sahiba Productions today launched the debut Punjabi Audio Album of Saru an upcoming singer - “Kudi Punjaban” here today.
Saru, daughter of the soil, has performed at various stages across the country and is presently settled in Delhi. Saru has also performed in Regional Languages and Hindi performances at Doordarshan and Radio Station.
Talking to media persons, Saru said that she started her musical Journey from Jammu so decided to launch her debut Punjabi album in her presence at Jammu. Giving this credit to her parents, she said it was because of her parents’ support and encouragement that she was able to launch this album.
Saru who will perform live in Jammu very soon, added that there is no dearth of talent in Jammu, but they need the right platform and guidance.
About Kudi Punjaban, she said, that there are nine songs in album which are written by Dilshad Sikander, the music has been arranged by Tarun Rishi (from Punjab), Hari Om Ujwal from Delhi and is produced by Ranjit Singh and Mushtaq Wani jointly. Earlier, Ravinder Koul, a well known art critic in his brief introduction of Saru Singh, said that this kind of talent is needed at national level and expressed hope that Saru will bring laurels for the state.
Harbans Singh , Senior National Conference leader who was the Chief Guest on the occasion showered praise on the talented singer and said that she can compete with others singers of Punjab and rest of the country. He added that she will do wonders if given more chances and added that more than 300 CDs of this album will be distributed among the students of M.C. Khalsa College of Education. Prithpal Singh Betab former relief commissioner, who was guest of honour, said that Saru can compete at national level and added that this album will be hit in the city of temples as well as other cities.
Saru’s father Ranjit Singh and mother Shakuntala were among those present on the occasion.
