| Seminar on ‘Punjabi short stories’ organized | | |
Jammu | July 8 A seminar on Punjabi short stories of eminent Punjabi fiction writer of international repute, Khalid Hussain was organized jointly by J&K academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Punjabi Adbi Sangat (Jammu) at K.L. Saigal hall here today. The function was presided over by Prof. S.S. Noor, and director Haryana Punjabi academy C.R. Mandgil was the chief guest. Ved Bhasin reputed Journalist of the state was the guest of honour on the occasion. During the function, Gurumukhi Version of ‘Baldi Baraf Da Saik’ was observed. In the seminar writers of various languages read out papers the creativity and other aspects of short stories of Kkalid Hussain. It was followed by a discussion in which Dr. Rawail Singh, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Dr. Gurpal Sandhu, Dr. Baljinder Nasrali, Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Dr. Yograj, Dr. Susheel Sharma, Dr. H.S. Sagar and Dr. Arinder Aman took part. Ved Bhasin, in his addresses his old association with Khalid Hussain and highlighted his creative work. He had all praise for Dr. Rafeeq Masoodi, Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture, Languages, and Punjabi Adbi Sangat for holding such national level literary ventures in here.
