| Police arrest three suspects | | |
Jammu | July 8
Police arrested three suspects allegedly involved in murder of an auto driver who was found dead at Bajalta Road, Sidhra on Friday evening. The suspects have been identified as Kapil Malhotra alias Lucky son of Brij Lal resident of Talab Tillo, Vikram Singh alias Vicky son of Mangal Singh resident of Vikram Chowk and Ravi Gupta son of Dev Raj Gupta resident of Canal Road. Police has also in search of their one more associates.
According to SP Rural Shakti Pathak, police on specific information arrested these three suspects from their houses last night. He told that these people had some dispute with victim and a FIR in police station Pacca Danga was lodged by victim against them some days back, which he took back later. Police is looking into the matter in that angle and interrogating them.
According to reports, auto driver Anil Kumar son of Des Raj, resident of Kachi Chhawni, Jammu was coming back from Bajalta after dropping passengers. When he reached near the forest check post some unknown persons assaulted him with sharp-edged weapon due to which he died on spot. After leaving him under the pool of blood, the assaulters fled away from the spot.
