| 3 of family killed, 4 injured as house collapses in Doda | | |
Doda, August 10: At least three members of a family were killed and four others were injured when a house collapsed at village Gawyalla in Gandho tehsil of district Doda, late last night
Reports reaching said that a house belonging to Noor Muhammad, a laborer working in Himachal Pradesh, collapsed due to continues rains at village Gawyalla in the wee hours
today. It was learnt that the family members were sleeping inside the mud house when it collapsed.
A police officer told News Agency of Kashmir that three members of the family were killed and other four were injured.
The deceased were identified as Saleema Begum Wife of Noor Muhammad, Shah Nawaz and Rizwan both sons Noor Muhammad.
Those injured were identified as Haq Nawaz S/O Noor Muhammad, Basharat Hussain S/O Noor Mohd, Razia Bano D/O Noor Muhammad and Shazada Begum D/o Noor Muhammad. The injured were rushed to district Hospital for further treatment.
When Contacted Deputy commissioner Doda, Pawan Kotwal confirmed the incident and said that soon after the report of incident was received, a special team comprised of Assistant commissioner Revenue,Tehsildar and Naib tehsildar was deputed to the village. He said that rupees five thousand to those dead and free Medicare to injured besides some cash assistance was given on spot.
He however said that the immediate relief was given from Red Cross and Ex-gratia under natural calamity will be processed in due course of time. |
