| PK condemns online anti Indian stuff in Kashmir press | | |
Jammu July 9 The Panun Kashmir (PK) has criticized a news-item appearing on an online edition of a valley based daily asking 'Indians to pack their bags'. The Panun Kashmir leadership said that it is one more reflection of the communal mindset which has pervaded in Kashmir Valley for a long time, Dr Ajay Chrungoo chairman stated. This news reminds community once again of the news reports which emanated from Srinagar asking Kashmiri Pandits to vacate within 24 hrs, Dr Chrungoo said. Condemning the said news item Panun Kashmir said, “it is derogatory and full of hatred.’ Further he said Panun Kashmir urges the government to galvanize itself and take appropriate action against the culprits responsible for this news item. Panun Kashmir has a considered view that such expressions are a part of the hate campaign against Hindus and India which continues unabated in the Kashmir Valley, he said. Elements as are responsible for such expressions have been spared in past which has resulted in the growth and consolidation of communalism. “Govt. has remained a mute spectator and on occasions abetted when the names of places have been Islamised or when derogatory epithets have been used for places of Hindu worship or when Hindu pilgrimages to Valley were described as cultural intrusions,” he added.
