| PDTUF deputation calls on FM | | |

A deputation of Peoples Democratic Trade Union Front led by Darshan Magotra State General secretary called on Minister of Finance, Law, and Planning Tariq Ahmed Qarra today and apprised him of the problems being faced by the people. Ministers listened to the demands of state Government Employees and workers with patience. Magotra apprised the Minister that a High Level Ministers/officers Committee meeting was held on 27th July 2006 at Civil Sectt. Srinagar under the Chairmanship of Muzaffar Hussain Beig and decided unanimously the rate of daily rated workers Rs. 2100/- (uniform rate) instead of Rs. 200/-, Rs. 500/-, Rs. 980/- of 14 thousand daily rated worker of state, 9 thousands from Jammu Province and 6000 from Kashmir province.
Minister on spot gave instructions to the G.P. Fund Department to settle all the pending case of G.P. Fund of retire employees and pending amount of G.P. Fund may be released immediately, and also assured that all the other pending demands of the state Government Employees and workers will be settled in the near future.
