| Bloria likely to be chairman DC | | | Srinagar, Aug 10 : Former Jammu and Kashmir chief secretary SS Bloria is likely to be appointed as the chairman of Delimitation Commission, the formation of which has recently been cleared by state legislature. Well informed sources in the civil secretariat told News Agency of Kashmir that the state government after considering several names of former bureaucrats has cleared the name of S S Bloria for the coveted assignment. “Former Chief Secretary’s name has almost been finalized and a formal notification in this regard would be issued any time in next few days”, sources said. It is pertinent to mention here that Jammu and Kashmir government passed bill for setting up delimitation commission for reorganising the assembly constituencies and increasing the number of seats, in the recently concluded Monsoon session of the state legislature. The state cabinet had earlier decided to set up the Delimitation Commission for increasing the number of seats in all the regions of the state by 25 per cent. |
