| NPP continues its mass awareness program | | | Jammu July 9 -As a part of its mass awareness programme, the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party held public meetings at Govindsar and Jakhol in Kathua. Anita Thakur and Daljit Singh General Secretaries, Hari Chand Jalmeria Advocate and state secretary, Reindeer Singh Pathiana district president Kathua and Rajinder Singh Manju addressed these meetings. On this occasion the residents of Harijan Basti of Govindsar highlighted the problems faced by them and alleged acute shortage of drinking water in the area. They also raised the issue of construction of an overhead bridge at the railway and removal of heaps of dump around these residential dwellings while the natives of village Jothana demanded construction of a bridge on river Ujh. Addressing the meetings, the Panther party leaders assailed the government for ignoring the genuine demands of the people and asked the District administration to immediately solve the problems raised by the people in Govindsar and also urged the Chief Minister to sanction construction of a bridge over river Ujh at Jothana .These leaders also impressed upon the railway authorities to construction a overhead bridge over railway line at Govindsar.
