| KVIB, organized an awareness camp at Char-e-Sharief | | | Srinagar, August 09 – An awareness camp was organized by Khadi and Village Industries Board at Chrar-e-Sharief, the other day. MLA Chrar-e-Sharief Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather who was the chief guest on the occasion inaugurated the function.
Giving details of schemes being launched by the board under Rural Employment Generation Programme (R.E.G.P). The Deputy Chief Executive officer of the board said in order to generate rural employment loans are provided for Willow, kangria, crewel, juice, bakery, brick kiln, baskets making, preservation of vegetables and dry fruits, besides setting up of electrical shops or transformer repair workshop etc. For setting up these income-generating units financial institutions extended loans and KVIB provides subsidy in favour of beneficiaries.
Besides officers of KVIB, officials of Chrar-e-Sharief tehsil and a large number of local citizens attended the camp. |
