| Gandhian Centre to hold national media seminar | | |

Gandhian centre for Peace and Conflict studies, University of Jammu is going to organize national media seminar with particular reference to Journalism in Gandhian perspectives. Exact date and scheduled shall be announced in third week of this month.
Two day seminar is an exercise of capacity building for young journalists and a unique platform for the senior ones to share their experiences and learn more about the historical perspectives as put in comparison to the modern trends.
Main focus of the seminar is on journalism in Gandhian perspective, but its scope has been enlarged to understand the wide contours of media policies and practices. The growth, operation and role of press in Jammu and Kashmir are also key focus areas of the seminar.
Seminar will be attended by the eminent journalists, authors, media practitioners, historians, sociologists and subject matter expertise and share their experiences with the journalists of the Jammu and Kashmir. The seminar will divided into four working sessions.
