| Private schools body demands separate nodal officer | | | R S PURA | July10 Representatives from various Private Schools in an emergent meeting held at Dogra High School here today under the banner of the Private Schools Organization Jammu has expressed concern over the callous attitude of the government towards the demands of the private schools. Satish Bharti Provincial President of the Association was the chief guest, while Kewal Sharma presided over the function. Speaking on the occasion, Satish Bharti highlighted the problems of the private schools and said like public and private sectors, the government and private schools have different issues and problems and thus their problems can’t be resolved with one yard sticks. Underlining this suggestion Bharti demanded that government should appoint separate nodal officers at the offices of Chief Educational Officer, at Directorate level and above all in the Ministry of Education at Civil Secretariat. Speakers sharing the same opinion demanded separate holidays cum vacation calendar for the private schools. Taking strong exception of the recent inspection of the Additional DC to the various private schools along with police officials to ascertain whether these have closed or not as per the government instructions, the meeting alleged about 60% of the schools had not been visited by this team. During the meeting the members also elected the new body for R S Pura Educational Zone with Kishore Sharma as its president, Rajesh Sharma as general secretary and Pramod Khajuria as cashier Among those present in the meeting included Sushil Choudary, Shashi Vaid, Purshotam Sharma, Ashok Randhava and Jang Bhahdur Singh.
