| Following protest, Police registered case against M/s Jamuna Alloys | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Aug 17:To maintain communal harmony in the area, the Samba police today registered a case against management of M/s Jamuna Alloys Ltd at Police Station Bari-Brahamna following protest from particular community which alleged the management has brought a truck load of religious books of majority community from Srinagar for making pulp to make paper boxes According to police reports, members of a particular community staged a protest against the management of M/S Jamuna Alloys Ltd. running at Phase-II Bari-Brahamna as they have dumped majority community's religious books in large quantity which seems to have been brought from Srinagar as scrap for using as raw material in making packaging boxes. On this, Sheetal Nanda, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba and Joginder Singh, Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba rushed to the spot and persuaded the protesters. They urged to maintain to communal harmony in the area and further added that a case under FIR No. 123/2015 u/s 295/295-A/34 RPC has already been registered at Police Station Bari-Brahamna against the management of a factory. The district administration also have assured that culprits shall be booked by conducting fair, transparent & impartial investigation into the matter for which Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by Faisal Qureshi, Addl. SP Samba has also been ordered/constituted by SSP Samba. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba has also ordered Magisterial Enquiry into the matter and also issued directions to seal the said factory which has been done by Police by the orders of Executive Magistrate, Bari-Brahamna. All other scrap dealers of District Samba have also been advised by DC Samba and SSP Samba to verify the scrap before buying so that such incidents could not be repeated in future. |
