A Lok Adalat was held at Court Complex Surankote, under the Chairmanship of Mehmood Choudhary, Chairman Tehsil Legal Services committee, and Sub-Judge, Surankote among others Bar President, Prosecuting officer, Tehsildar, SDPO, SHO and prominent citizens and litigants participated in the Lok Adalat. About 45 cases were taken up in the Lok Adalat, out of which 29 cases were decided by way of negotiation reconciliation and mutual understanding which includes 4 criminal cases and 22 cases of Motor Vehicle Act. A fine of Rs.15350was released of spot from defaulters.
