| Plan proposals under Haryali discussed at Reasi | | |
REASI, JULY 11
To assess the pace of ongoing watershed programme under Haryali at Reasi district, District Development Commissioner Reasi Mr Sanjeev Verma convened a meeting with the district officers of various departments from Udhampur and Reasi here today.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held with regard to new plan proposals for initiating development activities in different watersheds already functioning in the district. The DDC also enquired about the activities already taken in hand and completed from the concerned departments and stressed upon them for locational plan of every village in respect of development works with proper approval from the Watershed Development Committee.
Mr Verma instructed the officers to raise horticulture nursery and orchard of 5 to 10 kanals of government land in every watershed of the district. He asked the Chief Planning Officer Reasi to distribute works among various departments so that some works may be taken in hand during this monsoon season.
The Project Officer DPAP Udhampur apprised the DDC that he has already started checking of the watershed development works already executed during the last financial year in Chenani tehsil of Udhampur. The monitoring of the works would also be started in the Reasi district soon, which have been executed under Haryali programme.
Among others senior officers of various departments from Udhampur including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, DAPA, DPO Social Forestry, Chief Planning Officer, AD, Fisheries, Sericulture and other departments were also present in the meeting.
