| Do not take bath, swim in Ranbir canal: IFC | | |
JAMMU, JULY 11
According to Executive Engineer, Irrigation Division No. 1, in view of peak demand for irrigation supplies for the command area falling under Ranbir Canal system is running at full discharge.
As a result of which the depth and velocity of water in the canal has day to day increase.
The authorities of Irrigation and Flood Control appealed the people to desist from bathing, swimming and washing clothes in the river Canal. In case of any incident it will not be possible for the department to close the canal as the same shall prove highly departmental to kharief 2007.
