| Crime Branch files charge sheet against ASI | | |

Crime Branch today filed a charge sheet against Assistant Sub Inspector Police before the Court of Judicial Magistrate Class Ist Kulgam in a cheating case.
According to the reports, Abdul Ahad son of Abdul Gani resident of Kulgam made a complaint in Crime Branch that said ASI Mohd Syed Peer has obtained an amount of rupees 80, 000 from him through deceitful tactics in order to arrange government job for his son.
The Crime Branch during investigation established that the amount in question was obtained by the said person on the pretext of providing government job to son of the complainant. Enquires also revealed that neither any job was provided nor the money was returned to the complainant.. Consequently this resulted into registration of a criminal case under FIR No. 65/2005 u/s 420 RPC in CB Srinagar.
During the course of investigation it emerged that during the year 1998 the aforesaid accused coincidentally came into contact with the complainant and their introduction subsequently turned into a family relation. The used to visit the house of the complainant and one day he asked him to pay Rs. 80, 000 for adjusting his son in J&K Police. Further investigations transpired that the complainant was motivated by the accused to pay the amount.
On the basis of investigation conducted by Crime Branch the allegation leveled against the accused person got substantiated. Ultimately Crime Branch filed the charge sheet against the accused before the Court.
