| Bovine smuggling continues unabated. | | |
DODA, July 12-The menace of bovines smuggling is continuing unabatedly and the smugglers are operating the trade without any let or hindrance. Bovine from one place to another can only be taken with the prior permission of the concerned authorities and the permission is granted to only to a genuine person who satisfies the authorities that bovines which he wants to take from one place to other is his domestic. But regrettably the smugglers in Doda and Ramban districts continue to carry this trade without being noticed and the involvement of some officers is not ruled out, sources said.
According to sources several groups of bovine smuggles are operating from various areas in the district including Bhalessa , Padder , Banihal, Patnitop and Saraz area and they have developed good relations with some policemen who help them in the illicit trade. Even they smuggle the Bovines from Himachal Pradesh (HP) and Kathua District also without fear, sources disclosed.
