| NSUI organizes 2-day convention | | |
DODA, JULY12- Continuing its mission to create awareness about the evils in the society and their remedial measures, National Students Union Of India, district unit Doda organized a two- day convention at Government Degree College Bhaderwah in which over a thousand students of the various parts of the District apart from the locals participated.
The convention was inaugurated by the SDM Bhaderwah P.K.Pole with the lighting of the traditional lamp and while it was presided over by the President of the Degree College Bhaderwah and Distt-President NSUI Mohd Sajid Malik and DFO Bhaderwah B.L.Zadoo, BMO Bhaderwah Mohd Ashraf and the principal of the College were the guest of honors and special invitees on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest threw light on the importance of organizing such type of conventions in the far off areas and added that such functions create awareness among the students and the society about the evils in the society included drug addiction ,deforestation ,environment pollution ,AIDS/HIV and population explosion .He recalled the days of his college life when he also attended such type of functions and said that this provide the chance of the personality development of the students and all round development of the society .SDM also appreciated the NSUI district President Mohd Sajid Malik for organizing such a grand function aiming at creating awareness among the students about their rights and their role in removing the evils from the society.
On the first day of the convention the students participated in group discussion, quiz, singing and debating competitions.
Masth Nath Yogi senior vice president Janta Dal S, Dhranter Singh senior BJP leader, Javed Iqbal Shorra and Dr.Javed Zargar who were the guest and resource persons on the day of the convention appreciated NSUI for organizing thought provoking awareness convention
