| Police arrests minor's rapist | | | Udhampur, July 12
Police today arrested a seventeen year old boy, who was absconding after allegedly raping a seven year old girl in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district, here on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Ajay Kumar was rounded up by a police team, when he was trying to board a Jammu bound bus at General Bus Stand, here this morning; official sources told News Agency of Kashmir.
A resident of village Badole in Ramnagar the accused, who is said to be seventeen year old, was absconding after committing rape of a minor girl in his neighbourhood on Tuesday.
The girl (name upheld) was reportedly battling between life and death in Udhampur hospital, where she was shifted keeping in view her critical condition, sources said.
The victim was discovered by her mother in the outskirts of her village in pool of blood. She allegedly told the police that Ajay committed rape upon her and later threw her in the bushes in unconscious condition.
