| Leader attempts self immolation | | | Jammu, July 12
Trouble erupted in Jammu University campus today after a group of student who were protesting against the alleged alluding of their leader in a false case by the university authorities, clashed with the police.
The students who were protesting in front of Vice- Chancellor's office clashed with police after cops arrested their leader who was trying to attempt self immolation. Four students were also arrested by the police who were later let free.
Police had resort to cane charging in which four students sustained minor injuries.
Sources said that, the group leader Vikas Sharma alleged that Police has implicated him in a false case on the instance of the University official
After the police forced the students to disperse, the students gathered again and sit on dharna in front of the official residence of Vice Chancellor Amitab Mattoo, sources added.
