| 2 die in road mishap, body recovered | | | Jammu, July 12 Two persons were killed in a road accident near Patnitop on Jammu-Srinagar Highway, while body of a villager was recovered in suspicious circumstances in Ramban area, this morning.
A police spokesman said that a truck (JK02M/8971), loaded with fruits, skidded off the road at Mandir Point near Patnitop, this morning leading to the death of two persons and injures to another.
One of the deceased has been identified as Ramesh Chand son of Sarda Ram of Batta Paryot, Doda, while identity of the other person could not be ascertained immediately. The injured was shifted to Udhampur hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical.
Sources said that police recovered body of Brij Lal son of Bhag Chand of Ramban from Kumit area of the same district this morning in suspicious circumstances.
Police said that the preliminary investigation leads to suspicion that the deceased has been murdered and his body has been thrown in the area by unidentified persons.
A case has been registered in Ramban police station and police was investigating the matter.
