| Continuing Nursing Education to be Held from 23 July. | | | Jammu, July 12
Command Hospital, Northern command is organized is going to a continuing Nursing education programme on Newer Approaches in Psychiatric Emergencies”, from 23 July 2007 to 01 Aug 2007.
According to the burden of Psychiatric illnesses across the globe is on the increase commitments of the army in general have gone up dramatically in recent times. Considering the role of the armed forces in the faces in the face of insurgency, natural calamities, civil unrest and UN peacekeeping, there is a need to understand the stress and strain adversely affecting the service personnel and their families.
About thirty Nursing officers from the command zone are attending this programme for a period of ten days. The approach is multi-disciplinary with a training team comprising of Psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric trained nurses, legal and administrative experts from this command and outside who will be speaking and sharing their views on their areas of expertise relating to emergencies in psychiatry and their management.
