| Employees leaders meet CM | | | Srinagar, July 12 –A delegation of state government employees headed by President Jammu and Kashmir Civil Secretariat (Non-Gazetted) Employees Union Nazir Ahmad Mir met Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad here today and discussed with him issues concerning Government employees. Chief Secretary, C. Phunsog, Principal Secretary, General Administration, K. A. Ganai and Commissioner/Secretary, Finance, B. B. Vyas were also present. The delegation included President, Lower Grade Employees Union, Abdul Majid, President, State Motor Garages Employees Union, Ghulam Qadir and Spokesman, Employees Coordination Committee, State Legislative Assembly, Mohammad Sadiq Shah. The demands presented by the deputation include enhancement of retirement age from 58 years to 60 years, revival of medi-claim policy and LTC, fixing of 21 years as qualifying service for pension, creation of posts of Daftaries/Photostat Machine Operators, constitution of committee for appointment of orderlies in Civil Secretariat, allotment of residential quarters of Secretariat employees as per norms, grant of two and a half days pay in favour of drivers of State Motor Garages and refreshment charges for those employees who sit for late hours. Chief Minister gave them a patient hearing and said that the demands would be examined. The employees’ representatives assured Azad of their full cooperation and support in his efforts to promote healthy work culture in the administration.
